Since 2015, when the Vietnamese government made it easier for foreign passport holders to buy real estate, foreigners have been allowed to buy up to 30 percent of the units in each new residential project, a quota that has been quickly filled by investors from Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea.

To further assist our international investors, Savills Vietnam recently held a series of Vietnam property investment seminars in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Our goal was to cater to the growing interest from international investors looking to invest in the HCMC real estate market by providing real time data and local market knowledge.
