Australia’s leading food rescue organisation has secured a new tenancy in Brisbane’s north, continuing the strong demand for Industrial warehouse facilities in the region.

Jack Perrins of Savills Industrial Sales and Leasing negotiated the deal on behalf of Ashdown Property Group, with OzHarvest securing the 1,579sq m tenancy at a rate of $105/sq m.

The freestanding office warehouse located at 72 Crockford Street in Northgate is fully secured, with facilities including clear span warehouse, quality office space and functional external hardstand.

“The move signifies a point of growth for OzHarvest by securing a potentially long term Brisbane Head Quarters,” Mr Perrins said.

OzHarvest collect quality excess food from commercial outlets and deliver it to over 1,000 charities that support people in need across Australia.

Mr Perrins said the transaction further corroborates a noticeable up-swing in leasing demand for 1,000sq m to 3,000sq m industrial facilities within Brisbane’s Inner Northern region.

“So far this year we have seen a noticeable increase in local businesses looking to increase their holding capacity with larger premises”, Mr Perrins said.

Asset Manager of Ashdown Property Group, Annabelle Chapple, said they are delighted to welcome OzHarvest into their portfolio.

“OzHarvest are an organisation that does vital work in the community and across Australia and we are proud to provide them with a Brisbane headquarters that caters so well to their needs,” Ms Chapple said.
