NZ technology company secures Aussie headquarters

A world-leading technology company now calls Australia home, after relocating their sales, marketing and operational business functions from New Zealand to their new global headquarters in Loganholme after securing a five year lease.

Scottsdale Construction Systems Limited (Scottsdale) focuses on the research and initiative development of technology which drives light gauge steel solutions for the residential and commercial construction markets.

The lease deal of 4/5 Henry Street was negotiated by exclusive agents from Savills, Coldwell Banker Commercial and LJ Hooker Commercial.

Senior Executive of Savills Industrial, Myles Clentsmith, said Scottsdale made the move to Australia under a new management structure.

“They chose to take advantage of the huge demand for steel frame technology providers in the construction industry in Australia, the benefit of collaboration with industry peers, and Brisbane which has that to offer.”

The newly appointed CEO of Scottsdale, Jake Gundry stated, “We believe Brisbane (Australia) is a well-positioned location to demonstrate our technology whether it be at mass production plants, on site displaying hundreds of homes or in our new facility where we carry out design training, production training and offer our suite of business support services for our global partners."

Scottsdale’s Research and Development team have also commenced relocating to Brisbane with the balance of the team here after the release of their latest software offerings in April.

The property totals 721sq m in floor area, comprising of 421sq m of well-appointed office accommodation plus 300sq m of warehouse space, and features on site car parking facilities suitable for 17 vehicles.

Market sources can confirm a lease price of between $120,000 and $130,000 per annum.

Scottsdale operates in over 80 countries around the world and this move coincides with its new office to be opened in Texas, USA later this month.
