Exclusive Atelier - Registrations of Interest Campaign Starts

29 September 2017

Ceerose has started its registrations of interest campaign for what arguably will be one of Leichhardt’s most exclusive new addresses – the $18.3 million boutique development Atelier.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Leichhardt on both Jarrett Street and Parramatta Road, the bespoke development comprises two separate buildings, connected through a common landscaped courtyard. It will stand proudly at five and six storeys high.

Atelier will feature 36 signature residences, a café and ground floor commercial tenancies. Gina’s Bakery façade on Jarrett Street will be retained with the shed and chimney reinstated, and seamlessly integrated into the façade, paying homage to the existing site.

Edward Doueihi, Managing Director of Ceerose comments, “When we purchased the site, we knew it had the potential to be crafted into something distinctive for Leichhardt’s neighbourhood. Renowned firm, Giles Tribe Architects has designed an exclusive development that many generations will be proud to call home. Their ability to combine heritage elements with contemporary design, has created an exemplary piece of architecture that will become a legacy for the Leichhardt area.”

Ged Rockliff, Head of Residential for Savills Australia said, “Ceerose is known for developing quality projects. Atelier will continue to grow the company’s excellent reputation for developing desirable places to live. The heritage aspect, close proximity to Norton Street and the city as well as superior craftmanship will ensure strong buyer interest.

“Downsizers as well as second and third home purchasers are expected to buy a beautiful residence in one of Leichardt’s most desirable new addresses - Atelier.”

“A zinc and terracade facade against traditional brick render, gives an innovative, distinctive and rhythmic appearance to Atelier, and compliments the industrial heritage of the area. The exquisite interior material palette showcases style and comfort,” added Danny Yeung, Director at Giles Tribe Architects.

Atelier’s exclusive residences will enjoy polished concrete floors in the living and dining areas, complemented by timber finishes in the kitchen and cupboard joinery, Smeg appliances, crafted benchtops, designer tiled splashbacks, sleek modern bathrooms with specialty Astra Walker tapware and tri-colour tiles with different tones and textures.

The interior design of the residences showcases splendid city views from living and external balcony areas, with the majority north facing to maximise natural sunlight. The open courtyard draws additional light into the homes. Both buildings also share a common rooftop terrace.

The project, located at 32 Jarrett Street comprises 12 one beds plus study, 4 two beds, 16 two bed plus study and 4 three bed plus study.

Prices start at $760,000 for a one bed plus study (51.4 – 67sq m), two beds start at $1.129 million (85.4 – 92.2sq m), 2 beds plus study are priced from $1.125 million (75 – 103sq m) and three beds plus study start at $2.599 million (129 – 149sq m). Completion is expected in 2019.

Atelier is a short 100 metre walk to Norton Street with its many cafes and restaurants, and the bus stops on Parramatta Road and Norton Street are within a 50 to 100 metre walk. Several schools and universities including Sydney University and the University of Technology are within a three to four kilometre radius from Atelier as well as the White Bay Power Station area, which is about to undergo a major multi-million dollar transformation.

The NSW state budget has set aside $123 million to create new village-style urban plazas, express bus lanes and cycleways along the length Parramatta Road (20 kilometres). Eight rejuvenated centres are planned along the corridor to complement existing suburbs, including Leichhardt.

The 1712sq m Atelier site was purchased from the DÁngostino family in June 2015.
