A home appliances & audio/video devices distributor has leased 11,100 sq m in Sosnowiec

Galicja Tomaszek, owned by Ewa and Janusz Tomaszek, supplies home appliances and audio/video devices to Poland’s leading furniture chains and independent stores. Headquartered in Łańcut, the firm also has branches in Katowice, Poznań and Warsaw, employing more than 280 staff.

“We are currently in a phase of rapid growth and we need a new, high-quality warehouse. We have had our scheme tailored to our requirements to streamline our logistics processes,” said Dariusz Malarek, Head of the Galicja Tomaszek branch.

In addition to wholesaling, Galicja Tomaszek has also set up Poland’s first network of more than 340 independent, usually working as a family business, local stores with electronics and home appliances operating under the Max Elektro brand. It operates as a purchasing group in the form of a joint-stock company with shareholders being store owners. Galicja Tomaszek also is an organiser of franchise chain Max Kuchnie, a chain of approx. 300 stores offering kitchen furniture. The latest new brand, VERLE KUCHEN, envisages approx. 60 premium stores across Poland. 

“Sosnowiec will be one of our client’s many warehouse locations. On its new space at Panattoni’s logistics park, Galicja Tomaszek will focus on order fulfilment in Upper Silesia. Its two previous warehouses will be combined to create a new facility for the tenant,” said Daniel Kempa, Senior Consultant, Industrial Agency, Savills.

At Panattoni Park Sosnowiec V, Galicja Tomaszek will occupy 10,500 sq m of warehouse space and 600 sq m of office and staff welfare space.

“Galicja Tomaszek will move to a tailor-made building which is currently under construction. The facility will feature a mezzanine for packaged products and a floor for special racks to enable system vehicles to navigate. These modifications, which we agreed at the design stage, will guarantee more efficient usage of warehouse space,” said Justyna Kononowicz, Leasing Manager, Panattoni Europe.

Panattoni Park Sosnowiec V is a warehouse and industrial building providing more than 42,000 sq m. It is part of Panattoni Park Sosnowiec, which offers more than 225,000 sq m of warehouse space. It is located in Sosnowiec, Porąbka district, in the immediate vicinity of the S1 expressway and close to the A4 motorway. The developer of the complex is Panattoni Europe.
