Jakub Jędrys appointed as Head of Project Management

17 May 2018

Jakub has 16 years’ professional experience in the commercial real estate market. Prior to joining Savills, he worked for cmT, which specialises in project and construction management and consulting services for each phase of construction projects, including space fit-out. Earlier he had worked for GE Capital Golub, where his responsibilities included coordination of cooperation between investors, tenants, architects and general contractors.

During his professional career, Jakub led multimillion-zloty projects, including development of creative and innovative architectural space solutions for co-working provider Brain Embassy, for the headquarters of the British Council, and top-quality business space for consulting firm PwC. He was also responsible for redevelopments of existing buildings, including 54 Koszykowa Trade Center.

At Savills, Jakub will supervise the project management team and advise clients on office, retail and warehouse space fit-out, project planning, budgeting, technical due diligence and oversight. With Jakub on board, the project management team will deliver a broad range of technical support services in construction projects to both real estate tenants, landlords and owners. In his new role he will also develop cooperation with Savills leasing teams and add new advisory services of strategic planning, cost management, workplace strategies, technical due diligence and green certification.

“As our business continues to grow exponentially, we are also strengthening our project management team. Our clients are free to work with third-party firms providing technical advice on space fit-out, for instance, but they increasingly decide to take advantage of our in-house team’s support, recognising the positive effect of integrated service on efficiency, quality and total cost of project execution,” says Tomasz Buras, Managing Director, Savills Poland.

“Recently, there has been a shift of focus towards well-designed commercial space. Office space can be used as an asset in workforce recruitment and retention. Tenants also expect seamless office relocation, upgrading and expansion to ensure continuity of business operation. In retail, store fit-out strongly supports sales. On the other hand, given the rapid increase in new commercial space supply, owners of existing buildings need to redevelop, improve and adapt their properties to new trends. Project management is therefore complementary to tenant and landlord representation on the real estate market. It is required to create an efficient and user-friendly working environment, and to ensure effective oversight of all technical aspects of space development and cost optimisation,” says Jakub Jędrys, Head of Project Management at Savills.

Savills project management team has coordinated a number of space fit-out projects, including for Fujitsu Technology Solutions at the University Business Park in Łódź, WebInterpret at Gdański Business Center and for Ceneo.pl at Wrocław’s Business Garden. They were also responsible for coordination of cooperation with an architect in office space adaptation for Savills head office at Q22 in Warsaw.
