International real estate advisor Savills has been appointed by private investment company Concens Investments to lease the commercial and industrial buildings at Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park, a 52 hectare logistics hub located in close proximity to Leoš Janáček International Airport in Ostrava, near the Polish and Slovak borders.

Upon completion the park will offer 240,000 sq m of storage and production space along the country’s ‘New Silk Road’ route. The construction will take place in four phases and the last phase should be completed in 2023 and the new halls are suitable for both logistics and light industrial production. Part of the multimodal park will be a railway siding leading directly to the halls as well as a railway container terminal for trains up to 700 meters long.

Tomáš Budař, CEO, Concens Investments, commented:"The Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park project is fully in line with our investment strategy and long-term vision to create a premium industrial estate portfolio."

Jaroslav Kaizr, Head of Leasing Agency, Savills Czech and Slovak Republics, says:"The construction of this project is truly exceptional, it being the only hall of more than 50,000 sq m built at present for rent in the Czech Republic. Due to the high demand for industrial space, this construction comes just in time. The park offers a unique combination of air, rail and road transport. In addition, the Moravian-Silesian region can offer sufficient labor. It is a strategic location, and each major logistics company or manufacturer should record and consider the potential of Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park."

The first phase of construction of 57,000 sq m will be available to tenants by the end of this year.
