30 August 2017

Savills Studley, the leading commercial real estate firm specializing in tenant representation, is proud to announce recent deal closings in the Washington, DC metro area for Goodwin Procter LLP, Hogan Lovells, PYXERA Global and Cornerstone Government Affairs.

A team led by David Lipson, EVP, director, and Gary Stein, EVP, co-regional manager, along with Steve Barker, EVP and director in Savills Studley’s San Francisco office, completed a lease agreement for Goodwin Procter LLP at 1900 N Street, NW near Dupont Circle. Expected to deliver in 2019, the building will offer 259,000 square feet of rentable office space and 12,500 square feet of retail. The international law firm will take the top three floors, totaling 80,329 square feet beginning in December 2019.

Hogan Lovells, the global law firm, has signed a 44,500-square-foot lease at Boro Tower in Northern Virginia. In June of 2019, the firm will relocate its Tysons Corner office from Park Place II at 7930 Jones Branch Drive to occupy the entire 17th floor and three quarters of the 16th floor of the 20-story Tower. The firm’s new space will offer clients, attorneys and staff efficient workspace and meeting space, amenities and accessibility by car and Metro (the Greensboro Drive Metro Station). Savills Studley’s EVP, Co-Regional Manager Richard Rome and Managing Director Alexandra deVilliers represented Hogan Lovells in the negotiations.

PYXERA Global became the first office tenant at 99 M Street, SE following a 17,000-square-foot lease negotiated by Executive Managing Director Ben Plaisted and Assistant Director Mordecai Scott. The company will be located on the fourth floor of the 11-story, 234,000-square-foot building. Currently under construction, the Capitol Riverfront property is located just one block away from the Navy Yard-Ballpark Metro station. PYXERA will begin occupying the space in mid-2018.

Plaisted and Scott also secured a 14,800-square-foot lease on behalf of Cornerstone Government Affairs. The bipartisan public affairs firm outgrew its Capitol Hill office and engaged Savills Studley to identify a marquee space for its new headquarters. Supported by insight from the team’s market analysis, Cornerstone selected 800 Maine Ave., SW at The Wharf. Savills Studley’s Stephen Tassi will serve as Project Manager for the buildout of the office. The tenant will begin occupying the space in mid-2018.
