Alecia Burdick Wins Prestigious Rising Star Award in Austin

25 August 2017

Alecia Burdick, an Associate Director based in the Savills Studley Austin office, has been honored with the Austin Business Journal’s “Profiles in Power, Rising Star” Award for 2017. Each year, the prestigious award is given to recognize the achievements of one young businesswoman across all industries. At the Profiles in Power - Women of Influence luncheon hosted at the JW Marriot downtown on August 25th, with over 500 attendees present, five Profiles in Power and one Rising Star award winner were named in addition to 20 finalists among the 85 nominees invited to the event.

“Austin’s corporate diversity and entrepreneurial spirit presents a tremendous opportunity for many different individuals to succeed, particularly those in the emerging tech and medical field given our infrastructure” said Burdick. “Being recognized among the many talented women in central Texas and at Thursday’s event is truly humbling and would not have been possible without the support of Savills Studley and numerous mentors across the industry.”

Alongside Savills Studley Corporate Managing Director John Scoblick, Alecia has played a pivotal role in bringing Performance Services Inc.’s regional headquarters to Round Rock. The complex project involved coordination and intricate negotiations with the company and Round Rock Chamber. In November 2016, Alecia’s team secured a 16-acre plot and extensive economic benefits from the city of Round Rock for Performance Services’ 60,000 SF Class A Mesa Creek office building that is currently underway. The new building expects to deliver 3Q 2017 with 55,000 SF available for lease, which Alecia is working closely with Performance Services to market. The owner and developer Performance Services plans to initially occupy 5,000 SF and grow their Texas Headquarters organically as they continue to scale.

In 2016, Alecia played a key role on the Savills Studley team that managed Accruent’s 104,448-square-foot relocation and consolidation to The Domain in Northwest Austin. The deal also included completing an additional 30,000 square feet in sublease assignments for the client and was named a finalist for the Austin Business Journal’s Office Lease Transaction of the Year award. Over the last 36 months, Alecia has significantly contributed to real estate transactions in excess of $50,000,000. As a result of her accomplishments, Alecia has risen rapidly within the company where she began her career as an intern in 2013.

Alecia is highly involved in the Urban Land Institute (ULI), where she is currently serving on the Austin chapter’s Advisory Board. She has held various other positions within ULI, including Young Leader Chair, Mentorship Chair and Mentorship Group Leader. She is also a former member of Commercial Real Estate Women, (CREW) and Austin Young Chamber, (AYC). She is currently looking for new opportunities to get involved and give back within the community.
