AEssense to Expand and Relocate Headquarters/R&D Facility in Sunnyvale, Calif.

25 July 2016

Silicon Valley-based AEssense will consolidate, expand and relocate its headquarters and R&D facility in Sunnyvale, Calif. The developer of intelligent aeroponic plant growth systems and products leased a 16,260-square-foot, single-story building at 1281 Reamwood Drive. The Class A flex property, located in a business park environment, has been fully renovated and is conveniently situated near Highway 237 and the Lawrence Expressway.

The company is currently located at 1400 Terra Bella Avenue in Mountain View and 1220 Alderwood Drive in Sunnyvale and has nearly tripled in size.  AEssense plans to occupy the new space on Reamwood Avenue by October of this year.

Scott Kinder, Corporate Managing Director with global tenant advisory firm Savills Studley, represented AEssense in the lease transaction. He has a 30-year relationship with the management team and this is the third transaction he has completed on behalf of the company.

“This represented an excellent opportunity for AEssense to bring its expanding operations under one roof and build a customized interior environment to meet their specific needs,” said Kinder. “Warm shell improvements were in place and the landlord contributed a generous TI package to complete the build-out.”

“The expanded space provides us with capacity for increased customer support, engineering, equipment testing, sales and services, and office space to support our continued growth,” said AEssense President & CEO, Robert I. Chen.  “Scott did a great job finding the perfect fit for us, and the City of Sunnyvale has been encouraging and supportive of our advanced agriculture technology venture.”

WTA Reamwood LLC is the property landlord and was represented in the transaction by Greg Davies, Steve Horton, Alan Guterman and Kelly Yoder of Cushman Wakefield

AEssense is a Pan-Pacific company with a significant manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China.
