Savills Singapore Receives Prestigious BCA Green Mark Platinum Award for Healthier Workplaces

10 November 2023

By attaining the BCA-HPB Green Mark Platinum rating for a Healthier Workplace, Savills Singapore is taking a significant step towards creating a more sustainable and wellness-focused environment for its employees and clients.

To reduce their carbon footprint and cultivate a healthier workspace, the company had embraced a comprehensive three-pronged approach which encompassed the enhancement of energy performance, the attainment of water efficiency, and the establishment of sustainable operations.

For energy efficiency, Savills Singapore upgraded its office with energy-efficient lighting which substantially reduced energy consumption and achieved a Platinum rating under the GM HW:2018 criteria. This was marked by an Energy Efficiency Index of less than 60kWh/m2/year, surpassing industry standards by 52%.

To conserve water, the company replaced its basin tap water fittings with Water Efficiency Labelling Scheme (WELS) 3 ticks and above, while actively monitoring daily water consumption on its premises.

In a commitment to holistic wellbeing, Savills Singapore instituted a range of Employee Assistance Programs, including mental wellbeing sharing sessions, reinforcing the physical and emotional health of its employees. Additionally, the company consciously adopted the procurement of green materials, such as repurposed office furniture and fittings, to minimise its environmental impact.

Samuel Han, Associate Director, Energy & Sustainability Management, Savills Singapore; “We are absolutely thrilled that Savills Singapore Office has been bestowed with a prestigious Platinum rating for the Green Mark Healthier Workplace.
