Earlier this year, Savills Academy launched a three-month table tennis training course for the Group’s employees. Coached by former champions of the Hong Kong Open Table Tennis Championships and former members of the Hong Kong Youth Team, staff members from different business units were energised by the activity after work and were able to develop a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Johnnie Chan, SBS, BBS, JP, Chief Executive Officer of Savills Services Group, who also demonstrated his table tennis skills at the event and enjoyed the fun day with colleagues, mentioned, “The Group attaches great importance to the physical and mental well-being of our employees. This table tennis training course not only promotes a healthy culture in the workplace, but also helps to bring colleagues together and cultivate a harmonious team environment. We are very honoured to enjoy the presence of a former National Team player in Hong Kong, so that colleagues can get a glimpse of a top athlete’s skills and share a memorable experience together.”

Chen Ke, the former Chinese National Table Tennis Team player who is now pursuing postgraduate studies in Hong Kong, said, “I am much delighted to play with the table tennis training course graduates and can feel everyone’s enthusiasm for the sport. I would like to thank Savills for the invitation and am impressed by how the company is looking after employees’ physical and mental well-being while developing its business.

Established in 2021 with an investment of HK$8 million, Savills Academy provides multi-faceted on-the-job training and continuing professional development opportunities for the Group’s workforce, and seeks to cultivate a strong sense of belonging among employees. So far since its establishment, the Academy has organised over 20 activities, including but not limited to leadership and management skills training programmes, professional qualification attainment programmes, customer service and business etiquette workshops, as well as events such as movie nights, latte art classes and DIY skincare workshops.
