Southridge Plaza Open for Business

28 March 2017

The exciting new Southridge Plaza is now fully leased and open for business. Developed by Stirling Park Developments, Southridge Plaza is conveniently located on Southridge Street in Sydney’s Eastern Creek; it is perfect for workers during the week, and great for families from nearby suburbs looking for an attractive place for breakfast or brunch on the weekend.

Southridge Plaza is built around an integral piece of Eastern Creek’s heritage, Southridge House. The Southridge Homestead within the plaza is located on land which was once owned by a number of early settlers in the district, the most notable being William Hayes, an emancipist and former manager of the estate of Governor King. Hayes became one of the largest landholders in the area.

Leigh Burges, Senior Executive, Industrial & Business Services Savills Australia said the brand new retail/commercial development is a welcome addition to the growing population in Eastern Creek and the plaza offers over 2,200sq m of gross lettable area (GLA), with an annual net rental over $750,000 +GST with lease terms ranging from five to 12 years.

“Southridge Plaza incorporates the Historic Southridge Cottage built in 1859 and is surrounded by beautiful parklands and offers ample car parking and a great variety of retailers, cafes and restaurants, plus a number of wonderful courtyards and alfresco areas,” he said.

Mr Burges was responsible for leasing the plaza, which is 100 percent occupied with tenants including Little Graces Childcare Centre (for 90 children), Plus Fitness 24 Hour Gym, Fibonacci Coffee, Subway, Industrial Harvest Café, Katateeya Indian Restaurant, Sharp & Carter Recruitment, Energy Global Logistics, Laverna Hair Salon and Redi ATM. Savills Asset Management has signed on to manage the property.

The plaza is located off Old Wallgrove Road and in the middle of the new East-West M7 Motorway Link. The NSW Government is funding this $100 million, 1.5 kilometre upgrade of Old Wallgrove Road to provide a vital east-west link connection for the Western Sydney Employment Area.
