Forrest Joins Savills Retail Investments Team

Savills Melbourne office has made another key appointment with the recruitment of well-regarded investments operative Tom Forrest as Associate Director within its Retail Investments team.

Mr Forrest joins Savills following more than 13 years in valuations, acquisitions and disposals across several highly rated national firms including nine years as a Manager of Property Transactions with Vicinity Centres (formerly Federation Centres) where he was involved in approximately 60 acquisitions and disposals with a total dollar value in excess of $5 billion.

Mr Forrest also spent several years with another national firm in a valuations role.

Savills Victorian Managing Director, Dominic Long said he was delighted to announce Mr Forrest’s appointment.

“I am delighted to have been able to secure the services of a very highly regarded candidate. Tom’s experience in valuations, acquisitions and disposals will add to the broad skill set of the retail investments team at a time when enquiry for prime assets has been at a post GFC high.

“His strong interpersonal and communication attributes and his commitment to client satisfaction will also complement the team and go a long way to ensuring his success,” Mr Long said.

Mr Forrest will be based at the firm’s 140 William Street office in Melbourne’s CBD.
