Savills Ireland Reports Continued Growth in Prime Country Homes Market in 2023

According to Savills, despite economic shifts, the market has remained resilient, with transactions outside major urban areas nearing €200 million.

Using Property Price Register data, Savills examined prime country home transactions, which are defined as transactions greater than one million euros and located outside of Dublin, the major regional cities, and north Wicklow.

Key Highlights from 2023:

1. Total Transaction Volume: €190.6 million, only slightly below 2022's high.
2. Average Transaction Value: €1.5 million, with a slight decrease that reflects a diversifying property portfolio.
3. Top Performing Counties: Cork, followed by Kildare, Meath, and Wicklow.
4. Emerging Counties: Tipperary and Sligo show robust growth.
