World Port Center sold

The office building World Port Center in Rotterdam is acquired by an affiliate of MCAP Global Finance (UK) LLP, the UK subsidiary of New York based investment manager Marathon Asset Management, L.P. (Marathon). Seller is a consortium of Dutch institutional investors, led by Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance.
The World Port Center is one of the best known buildings in Rotterdam – designed by Sir Norman Foster and situated at Wilhelminapier, Kop van Zuid. The property comprises of approximately 35,500 sqm of office space over 32 floors plus an underground car park for approximately 500 cars. World Port Center is largely let to the Port of Rotterdam Authority and Rotterdam-Rijnmond Safety Region, both tenant have long term lease agreements.
Seller was advised by JLL (commercial), Houthoff Buruma (legal) and CVO Group (technical).
MCAP Global Finance was advised by Savills and UniforeDMC, who have been appointed as Property Manager and Asset Manager of the WPC respectively. Loyens & Loeff acted as legal advisor.
