Jerry Frey Named 2023 Commercial Real Estate Icon by REDNews

AUSTIN (February 20, 2024) – Savills is pleased to announce that Austin Branch Manager and Senior Managing Director Jerry Frey was named a 2023 Texas Commercial Real Estate Icon by industry publication REDnews, a Real Estate Journals Company. Frey joined Savills in 2019, and he is one of the firm’s top tenant advisory professionals and serves as an executive manager for the Austin office.

Frey’s career has spanned over six decades and he has over 30 years combined tenure with two different global real estate services companies including Savills. Throughout his career he has overseen transactions for major corporations including Nintendo, General Motors, eBay, PayPal, and several prestigious law firms. His transaction volumes in both the brokerage and investment banking arena have exceeded several billion dollars while simultaneously resulting in significant cost savings for his clients.

Frey has consistently been active in several business and community organizations, most notably as Chairman of the Board of the Downtown Austin Alliance from 2015 – 2017 and a Board Member thereof for 14 years until mid-2023. He currently serves as a Board Member for the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce, and has prior been a multi-year Board Member for the Real Estate Council of Austin and the Greater Austin Economic Development Corporation (Opportunity Austin 1.0).
