Academy of Visual and Performing Arts (AVPA) Confirms Temporary Home in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas (July 6, 2023) – Savills assisted the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts (AVPA) in leasing a temporary location for the public charter school. Savills Senior Managing Director Lesa Nickelson French and Jerry Bolz and Sally Turner of Worth Commercial Real Estate represented the AVPA in leasing a nearly 41,000-square-foot space at the La Gran Plaza located at 4200 South Freeway in Fort Worth. AVPA will remain at this location until a permanent facility is announced later this year.

“The AVPA is an exciting addition to the public charter school system in Fort Worth,” said French. “We were fortunate to partner with Boxer Property to locate a temporary site for the school that provides ample space for students and allows the AVPA to open on schedule this fall. The school serves the South Fort Worth community, making the location at La Gran Plaza an ideal setting as the AVPA grows its enrollment and locates a permanent home.”

We are dedicated to providing the highest quality learning experiences for our students and families.”

Dr. Stephanie Love has worked in public education for over 20 years, serving as a director of instruction, district administrator, principal, teacher, and advocate in Fort Worth and other communities in Texas. Her long experience in the education sector coupled with her experience as a Fort Worth public school student, has fueled her passion for creating arts-integrated and project-based learning environments.

The Academy of Visual and Performing Arts (AVPA) is a 6-12th grade open-enrollment public charter school aimed at transforming the educational outcomes and developmental trajectory for adolescent students living in the City of Fort Worth. All students experience arts-integrated, project-based learning across subject areas and conservatory programming in dance, digital media arts, literary arts, music, theatre, and visual arts.
