Savills Extends Burke, Warren, MacKay, & Serritella at AMA Plaza

CHICAGO (May 2, 2023) – Savills arranged a multi-year lease extension on behalf of Burke, Warren, MacKay, & Serritella P.C. The law firm will remain at the AMA Plaza located at 330 N. Wabash Ave. and will occupy over 47,000 square feet across the 21^st and 22^nd floors.

Burke Warren is a longtime client of Savills Chairman of North American Brokerage Joe Learner who negotiated the firm’s initial lease at the AMA Plaza over 25 years ago. He shares, “Burke Warren has remained an integral tenant at AMA Plaza since it relocated to the building in 1997. After exploring market alternatives, we determined their longtime home provides the location, building quality, and financial terms that meet the firm’s long-term business objectives. We leveraged the firm’s lengthy relationship with building owner Beacon Capital to create a positive outcome for both parties. This transaction is a prime example of a local organization recommitting to downtown Chicago and notably, the Central Business District.”

Burke Warren will renovate its space to create a more modern and energizing officing environment. The firm plans an interconnected staircase between the 21^st and 22^nd floors, to implement the latest technology and A/V equipment, and install substantial conferencing space as well as a café. Project management will be overseen by Savills Senior Managing Director Rich Dale and Associate Director Laura Schueren and the renovation is scheduled for completion in 2024.

AMA Plaza is the last and largest building in America designed by renowned architect Mies van der Rohe. Located between State Street and Wabash Avenue, AMA Plaza is situated at the center of the Chicago River and the Central Business District. The property recently completed a redevelopment program which included new branding and signage, exterior and interior restoration, new elevator cabs and lobbies, and the installation of a new state-of-the-art HVAC system.
