WASHINGTON (April 10, 2023) – Savills announced today that Ernie Jarvis is joining the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a Vice Chairman. Jarvis is one of the region’s most accomplished professionals and recognized leaders. He brings more than 35 years of real estate experience to Savills and will play a significant role in further enhancing the firm’s position in the region.

“Over the course of my career, Ernie and I have crossed paths several times. His exceptional knowledge of the market and deep connections within the Washington, D.C. commercial real estate community have made him a true leader in the industry,” said Tom Fulcher, vice chairman, Mid-Atlantic region lead at Savills. “His commitment to excellence and dedication to his clients set him apart, and I have no doubt that he will continue to make significant contributions to Savills for many years to come."

Jarvis' extensive experience led to the founding of Jarvis Commercial Real Estate, where he held the role of CEO. As the head of his eponymous brokerage firm, he represented the real estate needs of organizations both locally in the D.C. region and nationally.

Prior to founding Jarvis Commercial Real Estate, he served as Senior Vice President and D.C. Market Lead of First Potomac Realty Trust, a publicly traded REIT. Jarvis’ 25-year tenure as an executive broker at CBRE also helped bolster the firm's presence in Washington, D.C. as market lead.

"Ernie's arrival further strengthens our position as the preeminent tenant representation firm in Washington and North America. He brings with him extensive industry experience and has a stellar reputation – we are fortunate to have him join our team,” said Janet Woods, president, East Region. “This new addition to our already deep bench of talented professionals is a testament to our commitment to providing our clients with unparalleled service and support.”

Jarvis has a track record of representing major tenants with significant requirements, including the American Nurses Association, March of Dimes, NAACP, Urban One, the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, and many others.

“Having worked closely with several members of the Savills leadership team over the years, I’m excited to join such a talented and respected group and look forward to supporting clients through the firm’s national and global platform,” said Jarvis.

In addition to his position as one of commercial real estate's top leaders, Jarvis is a tireless champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion. His leadership and focus on DEI have resulted in numerous honors and recognitions, including the Washington Business Journal's DEI Champion Award and the Brendan McCarthy Award by the Commercial Real Estate Brokers Association.
