Savills Facilitates 225,000 SF Lease for Sony Pictures Entertainment

LOS ANGELES, February 27, 2023 – Savills today announced that it represented Sony Pictures Entertainment in a long-term, four-floor lease totaling 225,239 square feet at Onni Group’s 5750 Wilshire Boulevard, located in Wilshire Courtyard.

A leader in its field, Sony Pictures Entertainment is a multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate. Sony Pictures Entertainment is consolidating several divisions and approximately 700 employees to the new office space in the famed Miracle Mile from separate locations in Culver City and plans to take occupancy in April 2024. Home to many other media and entertainment offices, Wilshire Courtyard provides high-end amenities, proximity to nearby production studios, a collaborative environment and improved connectivity for Sony Pictures Entertainment’s valued staff.

Sony Pictures Entertainment was represented by a Savills team led by Josh Gorin, President, Los Angeles Region, and Vice Chairman Mike Catalano, and supported by Executive Managing Director Alex Blue. Cushman & Wakefield’s Josh Bernstein, Peter Collins, Scott Menkus and Alexa Delahooke represented Onni Group in the transaction. Onni’s Neal Linthicum managed the transaction on Onni’s behalf.

Wilshire Courtyard is comprised of two recently renovated office buildings located at 5700 and 5750 Wilshire Blvd. totaling approximately one million square feet. The property features outdoor balconies, underground parking, an Equinox Fitness facility, a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and access to a park.

According to Savills data, total office leasing activity in Los Angeles was up in 2022 from the previous year. Heading into 2023, the market is expected to be highly favorable for tenants; Sony Pictures Entertainment’s lease is one of the largest and most important transactions completed in the city over the past year.
