Savills Studley has expanded its presence in Texas with the opening of a new office in Austin, TX; the firm’s third office in the state. The rapidly expanding commercial real estate tenant representative firm, which offers a full suite of transactional and corporate services to occupiers, plans to aggressively recruit staff for the new location while expanding its conflict-free platform to corporations and partnerships in burgeoning Austin.Savills Studley, which has offices in Houston and Dallas locally, has hired John Scoblick and Alecia Burdick as Corporate Managing Director and Associate Director, respectfully. The duo, which had a prior relationship with the firm through its previous partnership, KMD Studley, looks forward to tapping in to the full breadth of services Savills Studley offers its clients.

“We had the privilege of working with Savills Studley on multiple occasions and were continually impressed with the quality of work produced and the tenacious client advocacy each professional exhibited time and time again. Our experience and the relationships we developed made the choice easy; we’re really excited,” said Scoblick.

As a respected market leader and active member within the industry, Scoblick has completed over $750 million in complex commercial real estate transactions nationwide throughout his career. Prior to joining Savills Studley, Scoblick was a Senior Advisor of KMD Studley and as Principle at Cresa Austin. Scoblick is the founding President of the Central Texas Chapter (Austin/San Antonio) of CoreNet Global.

Burdick, who specializes in representing office and industrial tenants in large and multifaceted real estate transactions, possesses a deep understanding of the Austin commercial real estate market. She is highly involved in the Austin community as the Assistant Chair for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) - Young Leaders and Chair for the ULI Mentorship Forum.

“Many of our clients from around the country and the world have zeroed in on Austin and said, ‘We want to be there,’” said Mark Russell, Executive Vice President, who will oversee company’s expansion locally. “While Savills Studley was already doing a lot of business in Austin, having a full team on the ground allows us to better serve our existing clients while offering local occupiers a platform that can help them grow beyond Austin. We believe our conflict-free model, which focuses solely on the needs of the tenant, will resonate with the many organizations flourishing here.”

Russell is a Savills Studley veteran with over 30 years of experience in the industry. He has completed a number of significant transactions in the Austin market over the past 15 years, representing large companies like Chase and Schlumberger. Russell has recruitment of top-tier talent as one of the office’s main goals over the next several months.

Savills Studley, which recently announced the addition of new offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Phoenix, Arizona, closed on three major acquisitions in the past 12 months, including the acquisition of Cooper Brady Partners in Silicon Valley—the top performing firm in one of the nation’s hottest markets; the purchase of Tampa-based Vertical Integration, bolstering its Occupier Services and workforce strategy businesses; and the acquisition of New York-based management consulting firm KLG Advisors, a well-known firm that provides strategic location and workforce advisory services, including portfolio evaluation and realignment, to large corporations. Since joining forces with London-headquartered Savills plc in 2014, the firm continues to focus on expanding its service lines through additional acquisitions while growing its presence in major markets across the United States.
