CP Kelco Renews San Diego R&D/Lab Lease

CP Kelco, a leading producer of specialty hydrocolloid solutions, renewed its lease at 8225 Aero Drive in San Diego. The Atlanta Georgia-based company occupies the entire 27,605-square-foot R&D/lab facility. The five-year renewal is valued at approximately $2.5 million.

Bridget Garwitz, associate director with global tenant advisory firm Savills Studley, represented CP Kelco in the transaction.

“Our client was pleased to remain in a property and location that works well for its employees and supports its continued growth and innovation,” said Garwitz.

CP Kelco’s specialty solutions touch a wide variety of applications including food and beverage, consumer, industrial and household products. Key ingredients include gellan gum, pectin, cellulose gum, carrageenan, xanthan gum, diutan gum, and microparticulated whey protein, as well as other unique bipolymers.

Westcore Properties is the owner of 8225 Aero Drive, a single-story building located in San Diego’s Kearny Mesa submarket.
