Savills Studley to Co-Sponsor Datacenter Dynamics “Enterprise” Conference

12 April 2016

Savills Studley announces it will be a co-sponsor for the Datacenter Dynamics “Enterprise” Conference taking place on April 19th and 20th at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City.

Savills Studley’s Critical Facilities Group provides strategic consulting and transaction advisory services to users of outsourced IT infrastructure solutions, including colocation, cloud, and managed services. As the leading commercial real estate advisory and brokerage firm specializing in tenant representation, Savills Studley’s conflict-free platform ensures its only focus is fixed on what matters most – delivering high impact solutions that align IT and real estate for its clients.

Savills Studley will be represented by members of its Critical Facilities Group including Managing Director Rick Drescher, Senior Managing Director Ian Zilla, Senior Managing Director Ronald Bowman, and Assistant Director Tom Asbury.

Drescher, who has implemented data center solutions for clients across North America, Europe and Asia will be a panelist for the session entitled, “CDN at the Edge – Improving global user experience with the latest software and network edge infrastructure design.”

“The continued explosion of content consumption, whether it is streaming media or cloud-based business applications, is pushing the limits of efficiency and performance when it comes to the traditional centralized data center model. Companies that leverage the latest in software defined networking, bandwidth optimization, and strategic colocation services are in the best position to deliver a quality user experience and stay competitive in this continually growing market segment,” Drescher said.

In addition, Bowman will be speaking as part of the “Managing a Mixed Portfolio of Data Center Assets – from Colo to Hybrid” session.

“Organizations of all sizes are faced with the challenges of IT infrastructure deployments across disparate assets and platforms, ranging from the traditional in- house data center, through to the newest XaaS offerings. Having a common set of best practices, reporting metrics, and management tools is key to overcoming the challenges of operating a mixed-platform environment and leveraging the best attributes that each has to offer,” Bowman said.
