Savills Studley Secures New HQ for Santa Monica Solar Energy Company

02 March 2016

Savills Studley announced that it has secured new California headquarters for SolarReserve, a Santa Monica-based solar energy technology company. The company’s new headquarters are located at 520 Broadway in downtown Santa Monica, a move closer to services and public transportation. The lease also provides additional space for staff as SolarReserve continues to expand its business to meet global demand for its solar energy storage technology.
Matt Brainard, senior managing director, Steve Walbridge, executive vice president, and Dan Silverberg, managing director, of global tenant advisory firm Savills Studley, represented the solar power company in the transaction.
“Our focus was on evaluating alternatives centered on the company’s strategic considerations, including analyzing geographic priorities based on staff locations, with an emphasis on clean commuting and access to the new Expo line,” said Brainard. “We also provided project management and transition services to minimize disruption and ensure a seamless relocation.”
“Savills Studley helped us address our need for a new headquarters to accommodate current and future growth. The space provides more convenient access to city services and the new Exposition Light Rail Station, and provides a great balance of open environments, modern offices, and areas for collaborative work,” said Stephen Mullennix, senior vice president of operations for SolarReserve.
Savills Studley has been working closely with SolarReserve over the past several years as the company has grown from an early stage startup company to one of the leaders in large-scale solar energy projects.
