NAIOP Houston recognized Mark O’Donnell, executive vice president and director of Savills Studley, as the 2015 “Office Broker of the Year” during the 28th Annual Broker of the Year Awards on February 18th at River Oaks Country Club. Honoring Houston’s most respected and successful commercial real estate brokers and firms, the awards recognize professionalism, community involvement and total value of real estate transactions with an emphasis on local tenant representation lease transactions.

O’Donnell, a tenant representation veteran with over 23 years of experience executing large, complex transactions around the country, has managed more than 25 million square feet of leases valued in excess of $3 billion. O’Donnell’s clients include 10 of the nation’s 200 largest law firms, three of the country’s largest utilities (and their parent companies), several oil and gas corporations and numerous global engineering firms. In 2013, O’Donnell received NAIOP’s coveted, “Deal of the Year” award and is regularly named a commercial real estate “Heavy Hitter” by the Houston Business Journal.

“As part of the team that opened Savills Studley’s office in Houston, Mark has been one of the market’s top producers year after year, achieving tremendous success locally and nationally,” said Michael Colacino, president of Savills Studley. “It is always an honor to be recognized by your peers; we congratulate Mark on this great achievement in an already outstanding career.”

“For twenty-eight years, NAIOP Houston has proudly honored top tier brokers so the real estate community can express its appreciation for their contributions to the office and industrial sectors. The awards are the culmination of collaboration, determination and professionalism displayed on behalf of their clients and the impact it has on the Houston real estate community,” stated Aaron Thielhorn, President of NAIOP Houston. “Mark O’Donnell embodies all that our awards set out to achieve—recognizing top producers who not only perform at the highest level, but also take an active role in bettering their community.”
