Prime retail assets fly off Dublin’s principal shopping streets

After a long period of inactivity, the sale of retail premises on Dublin’s main shopping streets re-ignited in the third quarter of 2015. According to a new report by international property consultants Savills, in the five years between Q1 2010 and Q2 2015, just eight shops changed hands on Grafton Street, with a further three premises traded on Henry Street / Mary Street.  However this changed suddenly in Q3 with eight assets in these locations trading between July and September.

International real estate advisor Savills has been appointed by Swedish company Granen to manage their retail property portfolio and client accounting, which currently consists of 100 properties in 44 entities. The portfolio is spread across Sweden and contains well known retail tenants such as Axfood, ICA, Coop and Systembolaget.

Savills wins leasing contract for Victoria Tower in Stockholm

Call Tower Invest has appointed international real estate advisor Savills as leasing agents for the 2,000 square meters of vacant office space in the Victoria Tower in Kista, the IT centre north of Stockholm, Sweden. Located next to  the Kistamässan convention centre, Victoria Tower was built in 2011 and has 35 floors - the top ten floors hold offices and the rest of the building is a hotel managed  by Scandic Hotels. The spectacular building stands at 120 meters tall, making it one the highest office buildings in Stockholm.

Radisson Blu Oslo airport hotel sale soars to €172 million

Savills and its Norwegian associate Heilo Eiendom have sold the Radisson Blu Oslo Airport Hotel for €172 million (1.58 billion NOK) to Ole G. Ottersland, an investor based in the coastal town of Arendal in southern Norway.  Savills and Heilo Eiendom were acting on behalf of Avinor, a wholly-owned limited company controlled by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications, which is responsible for 46 state-owned airports.
