Savills Studley Occupant Experience Group Adds Johanna Rodriguez

15 January 2019

Savills Studley today announced the addition of Johanna Rodriguez as a senior managing director, Occupant Experience. Based in the firm’s Washington office, she will be responsible for supporting the Northeastern and Southeastern expansion of the Workplace Strategy and Occupant Experience platform.

The Occupant Experience group leverages research and analytical tools to instill wellness, comfort, connectivity and innovation in the work environment. The team’s subject matter experts help business leaders maximize real estate through more informed, data-driven and people-centric design decisions.

“As our clients seek more strategic guidance from their global real estate advisors, the addition of key talent to our Occupant Experience group enhances our position as a leading commercial brokerage,” said Melissa Marsh, senior managing director, Occupant Experience. “Johanna’s expertise in connecting the macro elements of a business with the experience of individuals in their workplace is exactly what our clients need to transform their spaces into dynamic environments.”

Prior to joining Savills Studley, Rodriguez worked as a leading member of the Workplace Strategy team at Gensler for seven years, helping U.S. and international clients create work environments that attract and retain talent, improve employee engagement and effectiveness, optimize space efficiency, and reduce operating costs. While there, Rodriguez notably led Red Hat in implementing a global workplace strategy platform for its 1.6 million square feet of office space. She also worked on the portfolios of government agencies, influential technology companies and leading financial institutions, including the U.S. Department of Defense, Comcast, Peace Corps, Pittsburgh International Airport and Royal Bank of Canada.

“Daily we observe more scientific evidence confirming the impact of employers’ physical spaces on the personal well-being and productivity of its employees and guests,” said Rodriguez, “whether improvements come from adding meeting rooms or distributing work space. I’m looking forward to working with our real estate teams to maximize clients’ employee engagement and help them foster a culture that makes people excited to come to work.”

Rodriguez’s arrival signals the firm’s continued investment in its Workplace Strategy and Occupant Experience services. Last year Savills Studley also announced the addition of prominent design professionals Ann Linstrom in D.C., Shannon Woodcock in Los Angeles and DeJeana Chappell in Chicago.
