Savills Studley Strengthens its North Carolina Project Management Group

11 December 2018

Savills Studley today announced two new key additions to the firm’s local Project Management group. Architects and designers Laurie Korth and Leah Barrett join as managing directors reporting to Senior Managing Director Amy Johnson. Barrett will be based in the company’s Raleigh-Durham office and Korth will be based in the Charlotte office. Both will assist clients across multiple industries in creating advanced, cost-effective and productive workspaces, while managing client budgets, schedules, quality assurance and project delivery.

“In the race to recruit and retain top talent, our clients are thinking critically about how to maximize their employees’ engagement at the office while minimizing overhead expenses,” said Mark Ayers, EVP and market leader. “Savills Studley continues to invest in its services to meet this growing demand. Laurie and Leah’s combined progressive commercial design and project management experience enhances our firm’s ability to unite people and workplace through innovative, data-driven design.”

Korth has advised clients on solutions for complex architectural and design challenges for more than 30 years. As an NCIDQ certified interior designer, Korth has managed renovation and build-to-suit projects for some of the region’s leading businesses ranging from corporate headquarters to banks and automotive retailers. Barrett is an award-winning IDCEC certified interior designer and a registered architect in North Carolina. Over a 19-year career, Barrett has designed and developed more than 4 million square feet of space for corporations, law firms, colleges and universities, medical facilities and government agencies throughout the Carolinas. Korth and Barrett both hold LEED credentials.

“This move provides our clients with expanded access to a comprehensive suite of technology, research and occupant experience services,” said Korth. “We look forward to helping them accelerate their workplaces.”

“So much of our work as designers is informed by data insights and driven by the end users,” added Barrett. “The global network of professionals and services at Savills Studley makes this connection seamless, resulting in a better and smarter way to work.”
