Savills bolsters Channel Islands presence with commercial acquisition

Savills UK has today (10 January 2017) announced the acquisition of Montagu Evans Channel Islands Limited (a separate company to Montagu Evans LLP), which will create the firm’s first presence in Guernsey and will combine with Savills existing residential offer in Jersey to provide a full real estate service across the Channel Islands. Montagu Evans Channel Islands Limited will change its name to Savills Channel Islands Limited with immediate effect.

Established in 2010, Montagu Evans Channel Islands Ltd is based in St Peter Port and has built up a strong reputation across Guernsey and Jersey providing high quality client services including commercial property management, lease consultancy, valuations, planning, investment and agency. The firm currently manages over 1 million sq ft of predominantly grade A office space, as well as other commercial accommodation across the Channel Islands. Clients include: the Channel Island Property Fund; Brockton Capital; Credit Suisse Trustees; Dandara; Royal Bank of Scotland International; HSBC, Lloyds and Royal Bank of Canada.

The team of nine, who will all join Savills with immediate effect, is led by managing director Tony Rowbotham who has over  30 years experience in the industry.

Savills five strong Jersey office was established in 2007 and is currently the only residential agent on the Island with a global profile. The team offer a high level residential service with a focus on sales.
