Savills Cares 2018: A year for community

Savills Vietnam is committed to supporting local charities. Greater community involvement provides real-life development opportunities and increases employee engagement. This ethos is central to our ‘Savills Cares’ campaign, which redirects all fees previously used for industry awards, to CSR activities.

Activities in 2018

Supporting tertiary students: Savills Vietnam collaborated with Blue Dragon to provide 10 tertiary scholarships for disadvantaged students.

Training series for Blue Dragon Students: Savills Vietnam organised numerous training courses for over 100 Blue Dragon students covering employability, time management and creativity skills. In July, two-day training courses were held in Hanoi and Danang on employment skills and career orientation, attracting over 50 final year students. In October, Savills Vietnam held creative and time management training for 40 new undergraduates at the Blue Dragon office in Hanoi.

Essential Donations: Nine donation boxes were set up in our office and projects managed by Savills in Hanoi to provide essential health care and lifestyle products for Blue Dragon children in the mountainous area of Dien Bien.

Among 1,581 items collected, 883 items were donated by Savills Vietnam. Thank you to residents, colleagues and partners for your generosity!

#SavillsDoingGood: Savills Vietnam participated in fundraising activities to support charities and further promote a healthy lifestyle including BBGV Football Tournament, IRONMan 70.3, Da Nang Marathon and the International Marathon in HCMC. Mr. Neil MacGregor and Mr. Matthew Powell participated in IRONMAN 70.3 in Danang whilst 30 Savillians competed the 10km and 21km run in the HCMC International Marathon 2018. A large proportion of the funds raised were donated to Newborns Vietnam, an NGO that aims to decrease infant mortality by providing neonatal nurse and doctor training in Vietnam.

Corporate gifts: Savills Vietnam delivered 200 star lanterns for the Blue Dragon Mid-Autumn party. In addition, thousands of our gifts for the Quarterly Market Report attendees were produced by Blue Dragon.

Savills Cares 2018 wrap-up

Regarding Savills Cares, Mr. Neil MacGregor, Managing Director Savills Vietnam said:

“We would like to thank Savills partners, friends and employees for their support in 2018. Last year we officially stopped participating in all industry awards and have since redirected the award fees to CSR activities. Savills Cares will continue in 2019 with new CSR activities, providing more support to the local people and the environment”.
