At this significant moment, Savills China has set up its 17th branch in Haikou to expand its business in this crucial area. Haikou has always been an optimistic city and, with the rapid development of Savills in China in recent years, the establishment of Hainan office is a great step forward.”

Focus on the Free Trade Zone, Harness the Energy

This year is the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Hainan Province and Special Economic Zone. At the beginning of the year, the State Council announced the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Zone, promoting the formation of a new platform for opening up. As the largest provincial special economic zone in China, the favourable policies have allowed Hainan stand on the wave of opportunities.

Hainan, an important fulcrum on the Belt and Road, has a unique geographical position and is the key to the Maritime Silk Road. The construction of the Hainan Free Trade Zone will bring new opportunities for development of countries and regions along the Belt and Road thanks to the expansion of the area, investment capabilities, business environment and talent introduction.
