Savills Sweden aiming to build the leading capital markets team in the country
18 December 2018
Niklas Samuelsson has joined as CEO of Savills Sweden, Anders Nordvall as Deputy CEO, Niklas Zuckerman as Head of Investment and Carolina Herling and Mikael Fasten as Directors in the investment team. Frida Thorman and Amina Lönberg have also joined as Analysts, bringing Savills Sweden’s total investment team number to ten. Johan Ericsson, Savills Sweden’s interim CEO, remains a senior advisor to the business.
Niklas Samuelsson, Savills Sweden’s CEO, says: “This is a hugely exciting time to join Savills Sweden and we look forward to working closely together with the team in Sweden and across Europe. The investment market has remained strong throughout 2018, in spite of uncertainties regarding the Swedish elections which took part in the early autumn. By mid-December the investment volume will be approximately SEK 140bn compared to SEK 154bn for the full year 2017. We expect that the full year investment volume will be slightly lower than 2017, but still at levels above the long term average, which indicates a strong market with strong investor appetite.”
James Sparrow, Savills Chief Executive Officer UK & EMEA, says: “We have hired some of Sweden’s best-known and most respected real estate advisors and I have no doubt that they, together with our existing team, will elevate Savills in the Swedish market as we look to build the leading investment and capital markets team in the country.
“Savills Sweden represents a hugely significant piece of our growth plan across the Nordic region and more widely in Europe. Our service offering to clients will be boosted as we capitalise on opportunities in Sweden and cross border. I would also like to thank Johan Ericsson for taking up the reins these past months before our new leadership team joined and I am delighted that Johan has agreed to stay on as a senior advisor to Savills.”
