MN (on behalf of Pensioenfonds Metaal and Techniek) buys office building Berkenweg 11 in Amersfoort

MN has purchased the office building at Berkenweg 11 in Amersfoort on behalf of Stichting Pensioenfonds Metaal & Techniek (PMT). The building comprises approximately 14,000 sq m of office space spread across a low-rise and high-rise building, and 147 parking spaces.

The purchase price for the office building is €24,000,000. The office building is located on the edge of the city centre within walking distance of the train station, and therefore has excellent connections to the public transport. The building is equipped with Energy Label A.

The office building is currently leased to 7 tenants, of which Stichting ’s Heeren Loo is the largest (approximately 5,000 sq m). The average remaining term is approximately 7.5 years.

However, currently the occupier market in the train station area is recovering rapidly. Recently large transactions took place, for example with Vesting Finance (approximately 7,000 sq m) and Nutreco (5,500 sq m) and office supply has been withdrawn from the market for redevelopment to residential. We aspect further recovery of the Amersfoort occupier market, driven by the increased demand of occupiers for office location near public transport.”
