Incentives Practice Expands with Ann Marie Woessner-Collins

Savills Studley today announced that Ann Marie Woessner-Collins has joined the firm as executive vice president and head of the Minneapolis office. As a national expert in site selection, business and tax incentives, negotiation and implementation, Ann Marie will assist Savills Studley’s clients in achieving the best locations for the lowest operating and talent costs for their businesses.

Woessner-Collins has nearly 30 years of experience in structuring and implementing complex, large-sum tax incentives packages. Throughout her career, she has worked with over 150 companies in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. In driving down the cost of goods sold for numerous clients, she has played a major role in changing legislation in 15 states. Her industry specialties include food and beverage, automotive, aerospace, tech, e-commerce, medical devices, financial, insurance and energy.

Most recently, Woessner-Collins was a “Top Gun” producer ranking in the top 5 percent of all brokers for 10 consecutive years at JLL and The Staubach Company. Serving as Managing Director, Ann Marie founded and led the company’s Site Selection, Business and Economic Incentives team in North America. Earlier in her career, she was a Partner in the State and Local Tax practice at KPMG and the Director of Purchasing, Energy and Economic Incentives at Frito-Lay.

Woessner-Collins’ team will support clients in identifying opportunities for cost savings through people optimization, creative logistics and tax strategies that leverage geographies.

Ann Marie holds an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, Minnesota) and a Bachelor of Science and Psychology from Texas A&M University. She was awarded ‘Deal of the Year’ by Real Estate Forum Magazine (2007-2008) and recognized as one of the ‘Top Women in Finance and Business’ for the Minneapolis-St. Paul area in both 2011 and 2015. In 2016, Ann Marie was named to the Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame and in 2017 won Industrial Deal of the Year for Greater Minnesota. She is highly active in her community and currently serves on the board of Partnership with Native Americans. Ann Marie is also a member of the Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC), Corenet Global, Greater MSP, Minneapolis Downtown Council, and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
