Global commercial real estate services firm Savills Studley announced today that Darin Manning, an expert in industrial and office brokerage, investment and development, has joined the firm as a Senior Managing Director in Columbus, Ohio, and will build the company’s presence in the region. A 25-year industry veteran born and raised in Columbus, Manning has partnered with Savills Studley on local transactions for nearly a decade in his former role as Managing Director of the Atlas Group, a Columbus-based commercial real estate brokerage and consulting company.

Manning will focus initially on recruiting exceptional office, industrial and capital markets professionals and servicing and expanding client relationships in the region.

“The Columbus region, one of the fastest growing metro areas in the U.S. is a very important market for our clients as it’s a prominent Midwestern distribution hub for ecommerce as well as a vital location for professional services firms,” said George Kohl, Savills Studley’s EVP of Operations. “Darin brings to the firm extensive market knowledge and a depth of transaction experience that will significantly enhance our success in the marketplace.”

“In addition to being home to numerous U.S.-based companies, the region is a critical link in the supply chain of thousands of global organizations and an active foreign trade zone,” Manning said. “Savills Studley’s broad national and international reach, along with its industrial and logistics practices, aligns very well with occupier needs here. It is an honor to join Savills Studley and help develop the firm’s Columbus area practice, leveraging a tenant-focused and service-oriented platform.”

Manning’s commercial real estate experience encompasses sourcing/origination, underwriting, acquisitions, dispositions, development, entitlement services, incentive negotiation, finance, leasing and property asset management. In applying a multidisciplinary approach to developing strategic real estate solutions on behalf of his clients, he has negotiated transactions on behalf of such organizations as Amazon, Best Buy, GE Lighting, Levi Strauss and Procter & Gamble.

His career also included positions at Prologis, a global Fortune 500 REIT, where he was responsible for development and acquisition activities in the Midwest and the Covington Group, a private equity real estate investment firm based in Dallas.

Manning is active in numerous industry associations including the National Association of Industrial and Office Professionals, Warehouse Education Research Council, CoreNet Global, Urban Land Institute and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder.
