Savills Studley Adds Briggs and Jamail to Austin Office
02 October 2017
Savills Studley, the leading commercial real estate firm specializing in tenant representation, is pleased to announce that Sage Briggs and Zack Jamail have joined the firm’s Austin Office. Jamail and Briggs have over 15 years of combined commercial real estate services experience and will each serve as an Associate Director working closely with Senior Managing Director Alan Peters.
“Sage and Zack bring a breadth of experience that will support Savills Studley’s growing presence in Austin,” said Peters. “Each broker has exemplified exceptional professionalism, dedication to clients and active community involvement throughout their careers, resulting in strong reputations among Austin businesses and industry peers.”
Founded in 1954, Savills Studley pioneered the conflict-free business model of representing only tenants in their commercial real estate transactions. With JLL’s acquisition of The Staubach Company in 2008, Savills Studley is the only firm of its size left in Austin to implement this conflict-free approach.
Prior to joining Savills Studley, Briggs worked for Austin-based commercial real estate company Live Oak Gottesman for four years. She was responsible for all leasing transactions and strategic planning for a portfolio of over 1.5 million square feet.
Jamail comes to Savills Studley from Peloton Commercial Real Estate in Austin where he worked for three years in landlord services. Jamail later took on the role of building out the firm’s local tenant advisory platform. He was named a “Heavy Hitter” by the Austin Business Journal in 2015 and 2016.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to optimize clients’ office strategy through Savills Studley’s comprehensive platform of services and global network of professionals” said Briggs. “The firm’s resources are ideal for supporting companies seeking to utilize Austin’s growing talent base and diverse business community.”
“Savills Studley’s corporate history and distinct focus is reflective of Austin’s entrepreneurial culture,” added Jamail. “Having spent the last three years negotiating transactions on behalf of landlords, I look forward to re-focusing on the tenant side – where I started my career – and leveraging my recent landlord experience into a competitive advantage for companies who choose to engage Savills Studley in Austin.”
Briggs started her career in 2004 with Transwestern in Houston as part of the Healthcare Advisory Team where she participated in leasing, tenant advisory, investment sales, disposition/acquisition, and development for healthcare clients as well as general purpose medical projects throughout the greater Houston area. Jamail began his career with JLL in Austin, specializing in office tenant representation, working with companies across all industries, from local startups to Fortune 100 companies.
Briggs earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder. Jamail earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
